Better Design
The major flaw with the original style was that the strap landed directly under your toe, and after wearing them for a few days, the strap would disintegrate from abrasion. Our design moves that strap back, under the instep, where it does not contact the ground on most boots.
Better Materials
Instead of neoprene (which can get wet and become ineffective), we use waterproof/breathable nylon for the outer shell, and insulate with Thinsulate and foam over the toe. The inside is also lined with nylon and includes a pocket to insert a hand-warmer over the toe. We use 1000D Cordura on the instep to prevent ski edge damage.
